- childe
- (n.) A vampire turned (Embraced) by another vampire is their childe. Sometimes used to refer to all vampires as "childer of Mithras," even those who aren't literally his childer, to emphasize a closer relationship than "descendants" would. Plural: childer.
- clan
- (n.) A group of vampires descended from the same progenitor (see: Antediluvian), who share a set of powers that comes naturally to them and a common "weakness" or "flaw".
- Cult of Mithras
- (n.) The mystery cult religion focusing on the sun god Mithras, which this website is all about.
- (n.) The clan of vampires who practices said religion and are considered Mithras's faithful childer.
- ghoul
- (n.) A mortal who drinks vampiric vitae on a regular basis (at least once a month), gaining immortality and a fraction of the vampire's power as long as they continue to do so.
- Embrace
- (v.) The act of turning a mortal human into a vampire, draining them of blood as completely as possible and feeding them your own.
- Kindred
- (n.) Vampire. Plural: Kindred.
- kine
- (n.) Non-supernatural human. Outside of the context of vampires, an archaic Middle English word for cattle. (Yes, this is somewhat tasteless in many ways. The alternatives are all worse, except "mortal," which technically includes certain supernaturals too and is too obvious to use in public anyway.) Plural: kine.

- (n.) A formal temple to Mithras, typically underground or mimicking an underground space. Closed to outsiders.

- (n.) A follower of the god Mithras.

- Mithras/Mithra/Mitra
- (n.) The primary or sole god of Mithraism, the first vampire and a god of the Sun, the Waters, justice, truth, oaths and covenants, the pastures, and soldiers.
- mystery cult
- (n.) A religion in which participation in and detailed knowledge of rituals is reserved for initiates only. (NOT necessarily a cult in the modern definition of a group manipulating and abusing power dynamics to control its members.)
- sire
- (n.) The vampire who turned (Embraced) another vampire.
- tauroctony
- (n.) A representation of one of the core Mithras myths, wherein Mithras overpowers and slays a wild bull that was rampaging in the countryside. The tauroctony displays the moment of the bull's sacrifice, and is loaded with symbolic iconography.
